The following are among the most common disorders with which we help our patients cope:
Anxiety Disorders
Ongoing worry, apprehension, or fear that interferes with everyday activities. These can include generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic, and social anxiety.
Depression & Mood Disorders
Chronic sadness, despair, or mood swings that interfere with energy, motivation, and relationships. These included major depression, dysthymia, and bipolar disorder.
ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)
This condition is most often diagnosed in children but also occurs in adults. It encompasses problems of attention, concentration, organization, and impulse control
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
A mental health disorder brought about by trauma characterized by flashbacks, avoidance, anxiety, or mood and behavioral changes.
Sleep Disorders
Difficulty falling or staying asleep, poor sleep quality, or sleep pattern disturbance that disrupts general mental and physical functioning.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
A disorder of intrusive, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive rituals or behaviors (compulsions) that are intended to alleviate distress.
Adjustment Disorders
An emotional or behavioral reaction to a significant life transition or stressor, such as a move, breakup, job loss, or transition.
Behavioral Issues in Children and Adolescents
Includes actions like aggression, defiance, mood swings, or withdrawal that disrupt school, home, or peer relationships.
Perinatal & Postpartum Mental Health
Emotional issues during or following pregnancy, i.e., depression, anxiety, and mood swings resulting from hormonal change, identity change, or new motherhood.
Stress-Related Disorders
Physical or emotional symptoms caused by long-term stress include irritability, exhaustion, mental fogginess, and appetite or sleep changes.
Grief & Loss
Emotional discomfort and adaptation after the loss of a loved one, relationship, or significant life role. Symptoms can range from sadness, anger, guilt, or numbness.
Emotional Dysregulation
Difficulty managing feelings, so they overreact, get into relationship conflicts, or act without thinking.
Early Intervention in Psychotic Disorders
Treatment for people who are developing early symptoms of psychosis, including delusions, hallucinations, or disorganized thinking, with a focus on stabilization and general long-term well-being.
